One In Five

Our films tell the story of victory in the Second World War and the changes faced by people and places in the UK in the post-war years through the voices of those who were really there. Present day interviews and archive footage, as well as fascinating facts, figures and statistics, illustrate the impact of the Second World War across the UK. Two final chapters feature those who lived through the war and today’s younger generation reflecting on the ways we remember the war today and how we will continue to remember in the future.

To view the movies, you will need Apple QuickTime installed, which you can download for free (this link will open in a new browser window).
