School Trips and Projects

The Their Past Your Future Commemorative Visits Programme was organised and led by the Imperial War Museum. It provided hundreds of young people with all-expenses-paid overseas visits and learning experiences they will never forget.

Visiting a huge range of destinations related to the Second World War, the scheme provided an opportunity for exploration of the impact of this conflict on people and places around the world.

School Projects Showcase
As a result of participation in overseas visits as part of Their Past Your Future, young people created a range of material to record and reflect on their experiences. These included diaries, poems, websites and films. You can view a sample of these projects here in the School Projects Showcase.

Trips Photo Albums
Participants in Their Past Your Future Commemorative Visits travelled all around the world to discover the impact on people and places of the Second World War. From Normandy to New Zealand, and Germany to Japan, see for yourself where students visited in the Trips Photo Albums.
